Director of Compliance

Ray Palacios joined the MONTAG Wealth Management team as Director of Compliance in 2025, bringing over 14 years of experience as a financial regulator.  Passionate about serving and protecting the investing public, he served as an associate principal compliance examiner and an examination manager at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) for 5 years and then as a securities compliance examiner at the US Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) for over 9 years.  In addition to his years of regulatory experience, he obtained his Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) license in 2012 and his Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) license in 2025.

Ray lives in East Cobb with his wife Alayne and two boys.  Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, running, hockey, soccer, baseball, tennis, hiking, camping, and all things related to health and longevity.
